Our single-stage XR80 and XB80 gas furnaces give you the perfect combination of reliable performance and energy efficiency.
And, because they’re built by Trane, you also get many years of dependable comfort. But, that’s not all. Our XR80 single-stage upflow gas furnace has an easy to open door so filter access is a breeze. Regular filter maintenance not only improves performance but it can extend the life of a furnace—we’ve made it easy with our patented hinged door design and our dual door latch system.
The XR80 Furnace Thinks For Itself.
Self-diagnostic controls orchestrate the functions of the XR80 for maximum comfort. Functions such as induced draft venting, even airflow and the preheat stage, which heats the exchanger prior to moving air throughout the house, are easily managed. In fact, these smart controls talk to all the systems in the furnace. Responding to changes and listening to components like the thermostat and the gas valve, they ensure proper combustion and gas flow. The self-diagnostic controls even shut down the XR80 for safety if there’s ever a problem, and even red-flag the trouble for easy repair.
The XB80 Single-Stage Gas Furnace.
Comfort and efficiency do not have to cost you a lot of money. And, that’s exactly what we had in mind with the design of our XB80 single-stage gas furnace. Built to give you reliable performance and lower operating cost, the XB80 is the comfortable solution for many homes.

XR80
When you think of what you want in a gas furnace, several things come to mind. Energy efficiency. Reliability. Perfect, clean comfort. Quiet operation. Trane’s high efficiency two-stage gas furnaces were designed to meet—and exceed these expectations.
Our high efficiency XV80 two-stage variable speed gas furnace is a technological marvel., actually varying its airflow depending upon your home’s heating requirements. And, because it ramps up so slowly, sound is minimized and indoor air quality is improved. It even has our special Comfort-R™ feature that allows for humidity control during cooling. Its high efficiency sibling, the XL80 two-stage furnace, uses a more conventional multi-speed blower to combine perfect comfort with optimal efficiency..
We Have Two Stages To Talk About.
Both our XV80 and our XL80 furnaces are equipped with two-stage heating. you can really feel the difference two-stage heating makes during those transitional seasons that need just a little heat to take the chill out of the air. Our two-stage furnaces respond with a preheat stage, warming the heat exchangers before circulating air throughout your home. Then the blower starts at low speed, gently warming your home without short-cycling, the frequent starting and stopping that can happen with single-stage furnaces. In more extreme temperatures, two-stage furnaces switch to high stage heat for maximum comfort.

The Ultimate In Comfort
One of the first things to consider when purchasing a gas furnace is its efficiency. This is indicated by the Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency or AFUE. The higher the AFUE, the more energy efficient the furnace. By replacing an old, low efficiency unit with a new high efficiency model, more of the fuel you pay for is turned into heat.
Westland’s XV90 and XL90 gas furnaces are the most efficient furnaces Trane manufactures. The XV90 two-stage variable speed gas furnace is a technological marvel, actually varying its speed depending upon your home’s heating requirements. And, because it ramps up so slowly, sound is minimized and indoor air quality is improved. It even has our special comfort-R™ feature that allows for humidity control during cooling. Its sibling, the XL90 two-stage furnace, uses a more conventional multi-speed blower to combine perfect comfort with optimal efficiency.
Why Variable Speed Makes A Difference.
The XV90’s variable speed blower motor is a “smart” motor that operates at a slower, more efficient speed the majority of the time. This means it’s quieter than conventional blower motors, particularly during first stage or low heat operation. Variable speed also puts an end to temperature swings during the heating season, giving you a gentle, warm flow of air consistently and comfortably. This gentle airflow has another benefit. A slower fan speed means more unwanted particles cling to the filter, so cleaner air flows into your home.
And, there’s one more thing. If you have a Trane central air conditioner, our variable speed furnace will give you more comfort during the cooling season because of greater humidity control with our Comfort-R™ feature. During cooling, air moves over the coil more slowly at stat-up, resulting in increased moisture removal—a significant feature if you live where humidity is a problem.
Indoor Comfort Starts Outdoors With The XL90.
The Trane XL90 has a direct vent option that is just what you need.
For use in areas of the country where direct venting is preferred, or is required by local code, or where the furnace may be exposed of corrosive materials which could lead to component damage. The XL90 direct vent avoids exposure to these elements by using 100% outdoor air for combustion. A direct vent furnace simply means that the air used for furnace combustion comes from outside your home. Because of this, the XL90direct vent can be placed in a small space without concern for adequate combustion air supply.

Comfort. Reliability. Durability. Efficiency
A new heat pump or air conditioner is a significant purchase—that’s why Trane builds these benefits into our XL13i heat pump and XL13i air conditioner. From the moment your new Trane unit is installed, you’ll feel the difference. Not only will you experience reliable comfort, day in and day out, but you’ll also gain the peace of mind that comes with knowing our products are built to last. You’ll also feel satisfied that you’ve made an energy efficient choice in home comfort.
The Numbers Add Up To Greater Efficiency.
How can you tell how efficient your new unit will be? Just follow the numbers. Our XL13i has an HSPF of up to 9.25. HSPF stands for Heating Seasonal Performance Factor and refers to the efficiency of the heating mode of heat pumps. Every air conditioning system has an energy efficiency rating, as well. Our XL13i air conditioner has a SEER rating of up to 13.0. SEER stands for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio and measures the cooling efficiency of an air conditioner. The higher the SEER, the greater the energy efficiency. These numbers add up to greater energy savings for you.
The XR11 heat pump has an HSPF of up to 8.30 and our XR11 air conditioner has a SEER rating of up to 11.50
